Attila (Atilla), more frequently referred to as "Attila the Hun",
was the ruler of the Turkic Huns from 434 until his death in 453.
He was leader of the Hunnic Empire in Europe, which stretched from the Ural River to the Rhine River
and from the Danube River to the Baltic Sea.
Attila's Hun and Touman (2nd c BC, Teoman) and his son Maodun (Mete Han)'s Xiongnu are related.

** "Turk" means here Turkish Khaganate (Göktürk) period.
Both are in the same ethnic: Turk.
But they separated at the link below.

"Baishin Uzuur and Doloot (Bronze Age, Xiongnu and Turk)
These two sites, also newly documented in 2006, are found in the low foothills of Bumbag Khairkhan Mountain nearby the oasis-like green pocket of valleys stretching from Darvi sum to Khar Us Lake and Khovd city. Doloot contains a group of Xiongnu burials and a group of Turk burials next to two large stone enclosures which may be the remnants of a nomad winter camps. Numerous Bronze Age and Iron Age ceramic sherds can be found on the ground surface around both these sites. Baishin Uzuur Hill is topped with rock crags carved with Turkish runes, and flanked on one side by dozens of Xiongnu circular burials and on the other side by two Bronze Age graves." : link

Urdu, Chagatai and Turkish

Modern Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and is also spoken by many millions of people in India.

Like the "Red Turkish Flag" on Pakistanı Rupee

Urdu language (6th to 13th c) developed more during the Delhi Sultanate (1206–1526) and the Mughal Empire . "Urdu" itself is derived from the Turkish word "Ordu (army)" or "Orda", from which English "Horde" and Latin "Orde - Order (arrenged) - ōrdō (line of soldiers; band, troop)" is also derived from.

[That's why info like : "From Proto-Italic *ord-n- ‎(“row, order”). Maybe from Proto-Indo-European *h₂or-d-, from *h₂er-, whence artus."; is nonsense!]

* Delhi Sultanate 1206-1526 : The Delhi Sultanate was a Muslim Turkish kingdom that ruled over large parts of India for 320 years. Five dynasties ruled over Delhi Sultanate sequentially, the first four of which were of Turkish origin and the last was the Afghan Lodi. The Lodi dynasty was replaced by the Mughal dynasty which was also a Turkish State.

* Mughal Empire 1526-1858:  Babür in Turkish, (the Baburnamah, a autobiographical memoir of Babür, is familiar), called Mughal in Persian language after Mongolia; called also as Turkish-Mongolian Dynasty.

Babür Şah (Babur Shah) was the son of Chagatai, son of Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan belonged to a Turkish tribe Börçegin (Börte Tekin = Borjigin = Blue (Sky)-Grey Wolf), and that's why some Turcologist claim that he was Turkish. His born name was Temujin (Temuçin) . Genghis Khan had many traditions accepted from Turkish culture and had many Turkish tribes, soldiers and consultant in his empire. It was difficult to seperate the Mongolian and Turkish language till the 13th century.

Chagatai Khan spoke Turkish. Today they call it as "Chagatai Turkish Language" (Çağatay-Hakaniye- Karahanlı Türkçesi) and it is the language of Uzbek Turks. Ali-Shir Navai (15th c), an Uzbek-Turkish poet, wrote in Chagatai Turkish.

This Turkish belongs to Karluk Turkish family, a Turkish tribe who fled from Genghis Khan to Alaska, and became a Native American. (Karluk tribe is also one of the other tribes, who established Karahanli Turkish State, the first state who accepted the İslam, 840-1212).

Karluk Turks was also among T'ang Dynasty :"Four Karluks (+tribes) from the region of Lake Balkhash (Balkaş), sent to Ch'ang-an (T'ang) by the Uighurs in 822" [Edward H. Schafer-The Golden Peaches of Samarkand: A Study of Tʻang Exotics]

An other Turkish Art is the Taj Mahal. Built by the students of Mimar Sinan (Architect Sinan from İstanbul, 1490-1588, also known as the architect of the bridge in Mostar Bosnia) between 1632-1652, in order of Shah Jahan (Şah Cihan) a Turkish-Mughal emperor.

Turks-Mongolians-Indians-Pakistanis-T'angs

The word "order" (arrenged) is derived from "ordo-order-ōrdō (line of soldiers, band, troop)" and it is not Latin of origin, but Turkish. Means army, troop, line of soldiers in Turkish.

Info like this:
(Latin, Etymology: From Proto-Italic *ord-n- ‎(“row, order”). "Maybe from Proto-Indo-European" *h₂or-d-)
=  is nonsense!
This means that Turkish langauge was already in ancient times in the Mediterranean Basin !

Murad Adji - Türks in India

"A special book should be written about the Urdu language – the official language of Pakistan and certain northern states of India. It is widespread and it is coyly called a dialect of Hindi. However, it is not clear why it is full of Türkic words and expressions. And the phrase morphology is also Türkic. Why very few Indians understand Urdu while any Azeri can easily speak it several days after coming? It appears that Urdu is the ancient dialect of the Türkic language – Oguz dialect. But it is practically impossible to convince linguists of it. And how can it be done since they find in Urdu plenty of Arab, Persian words and… not a single Türkic one? It is an envious myopia"
(tr.note:The Urdu in Urdu stands for Türkic Ordu ~ English horde, so at least one Türkic word exists in the Urdu lexicon).

"The word 'otaq', 'sitting room', of the occurs in Shah's poetry. This word of Turkish origin is always used in the Risalo to describe the Divine presence: it is Punhun's place in the Sassui circle, Mehar's placce in the Sohni tale, and is also the high hall where the Yogis meet and inspire those who have come to listen to their songs. (Ram.IX 3-13) as it is now the part of the compound where honored male guests are received by the host. The word was in use already before Shah Latif; it is found in Mian Inat's verse as well, and points to the Turkish influence that was prevalent in Sind from 1520 onward, when the Turkish dynasty of the Arghun, descending from Afghanistan, overcame the last indigenous Sindhi rulers; they themselves were followed by the Turkish family of the Tarkhan under whom Sind fell to the Mughal Empire. The connection of the word 'otaq' with the dwelling place of the ruler is spiritualized in Shah Abdul Latif's verse, but expresses well his idea of God as the King and Lord par excellence."

Annemarie Schimmel
Pain and Grace: A Study of Two Mystical Writers of Eighteenth-Century Muslim

* Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (1689-1752) was a Sindhi Sufi scholar (in Pakistan). He was influenced by Mevlana Rumi (1207-1273 Konya).

* The meeting place in every village was known as 'Otaq'. But Otaq means ('Otağ' =Tr.), Ruler tent, house of Turkish nomads. Many use the word 'yurt' for that, but it is wrong.

* The Tarkhan dynasty (Urdu: سلسله ترخان‎), or Turkhan dynasty, was established by Turkic Tarkhan and ruled Sindh, Pakistan from 1554 to 1591 AD. General Mirza Isa Beg founded the Tarkhan dynasty in Sindh after the death of Shah Husayn Arghun of the Arghun dynasty. Mughal emperor Akbar annexed Sindh after defeating the last Tarkhan ruler.

Marco Polo Tv Serie and Turks

"KURULTAİ" which is used in "Marco Polo" TV serie, is not Mongolian of Origin, but Turkish.
Means "family gathering to, family ties, gathering lineage” = KURULTAY

Kublai Khan (Kubilay Han, 1215-1294) is the grandson of Cenghis Khan
[born name Temujin (Cengiz Han-Temuçin, 1162-1227)]
House of Borjigin, who ruled the Mongolian Empire in the 13th-14th c.

Family tree of Genghis Khan "Borjigin" [Börteçine, Börteşına (Bört-Ashina), Börtöşono] is also a Turkish word; "Börü" (meaning Wolf)- Borjigin, means Blue-Grey Wolf, just like the one in Gokturk, Turkish Khaganate (6th c AD) Genesis-Myth (which goes far back in BC time), as "Kök-Börü" ("Sky Wolf - Blue Wolf"). Dynasty clan of Gokturks is Ashina- She Wolf.

The wolf who lead the pack is called Blue-Grey Wolf, represents the sky. "Guiding-Holy Wolf" is the common totem of all Turkish and Mongolian tribes. Some Turkish and Mongol tribes are believed to derive from
the presence of this holy lineage.

"The language of the text written on the stone recognized as Genghis Khan in the Hermitage is ancient Turkic. It is clear that the strongest Genghis Kagan and the Mongols of the West and the East were all interested in the Turkish language. And his answer is only one: Genghis Khan himself, his children, and his main people also spoke Turkish. While the letter was written in Persian, the Turkish language was printed in ancient Turkic language. This is not just about the official documents, such as letters, letters of authority of different rankings, to tax collectors, soldiers, captains, thousands of warriors on the threshold, and so on."

"The Mongol Empire was based on Turkic elements rather than Mongol elements. The governing structure of the empire was based on Turkic ideas of governing. There are many more examples that show the effects of Turkic elements on the Mongol Empire...." (link)

İSKİT VE TÜRK-MOĞOL HALKLARINA AİT AYNI GELENEKLER, KÜLTLER VE PSİKOLOJİK ÖZELLİKLER

Ord.Prof.Dr. A.Zeki Velidi Togan

Cengiz Han Devleti tarihini araştıran her Türk tarihçisi orada Türk kültürüne ait unsurların varlığını kolaylıkla fark edebilir.

CENGİZ HAN’IN DEVLETİNDE TÜRK KÜLTÜRÜNÜN ETKİSİ VE KATKISI - PDF
İbrahim ONAY, Gazi Üniversitesi
Turkish Studies - International Periodical For The Languages, Literature and History of Turkish or Turkic Volume 7/4, Fall 2012, p. 2441-2455, ANKARA-TURKEY

One of historically most attention-gripping conquest actions in the world includes ones realized by Genghis Khan, the Mongol Sultan, in 13th century. State founded by Genghis Khan became a state having biggest territorial boundary in the world in a very short time. In this respect, Genghis Khan was one of most attention gripping historical personalities. Each Turkish historian, who researches history of Genghis Khan’s State may notice presence of any elements of Turkish culture easily there. Reason of that we should conduct this study is the work “The Confidential History of the Mongols.” It is supposed that the work was typed in the Uyghur alphabet, and its complete original text was not found. It is understood that it was typed in Chinese marks. The work “Manghol-un Niuca Tobca’ in Mongolian was translated by Mr. Ahmet Temir into Turkish in 1946. Although this work is anonymous, it is understood that it was typed in 1240 based on the expressions in it.

The Confidential History of the Mongols is main source of numerous works typed on the Mongols. This work is the greatest source that describes race, life history, religious belief and domination opinion of Genghis Khan. When any information in this source shall be reviewed carefully, it shall be noted easily that Genghis Khan’ State would rise on heritage of Turkish state and especially of the Gokturks. Our study reveals not Mongol history, but presence of any elements of Turkish culture in Mongol history. We accept Genghis Khan as a Mongol Sultan without discussing his ethnic origin. But, wee may say that the state founded by him is a Turkish state completely by considering its goals. While we try to prove our assertion, we have tried to describe and explain origin and connection of the information and concepts transmitted in “The Confidential History of the Mongols” with the Turks.

As known, the Turks and Mongols have lived for hundreds of years in near geographies. The Turks, who were nomad shipmen in early periods of the history, dealt with stockbreeding. In those periods, the Mongol lived as hunters. Then, they were also nomad stockbreeders. We may also suppose that there were Mongol clans in community in Central Asia in Hun era that Mete, the Hun Sultan described and said “I combined all spring-drawing communities. Now they were Huns.” Also in Gokturk and Uyghur periods, the Mongols placed immediately near Turkish culture were under their powerful effect. Most facts of the Genghis Khan period with in the Mongol culture with respect to religious life are encountered in Hun Gokturk and Uyghur states. Beside the God belief, presence of any Shamanist practices and religious concepts such as Ancestor Cult, Ground-Water Cult arte addressed. Critical role played by the Shamans in social life, life and world perception of the community are also reflections of these similarities on social life.

Genghis Khan, made advantage of accumulations of Hun, Gokturk and Uyghur states, also quoted the universe domination idea of the said states. We notice most apparent clues of this when Genghis Khan base his own race on Bortecina, the holy ancestor of the Gokturks, that is, Bozkurt. The fact that Genghis Khan saw himself as a ruler of the universe and based his domination on holy sources is a base of Hun and Gokturk states. The fact that the God understanding and belief are represented in Khan and also origin of the idea that this belief is supported cosmic elements are Turkish origins. According to Turkish tradition, Turkish Kahn designated by the God is a agent and shadow of the God in the earth. If there is a God in sky, there is also a Khan in the earth. The fact that the term “Tegri” in Mongol comes from the term “Tengri” in Turkish is an opinion accepted in the scientific world. The Mongols have based the fact that Genghis Khan came into the world on any holly goals. Just like Oguz Khan began to walk and hunt 40 days later than his birth, Genghis Khan was born with a blood clot held by Genghis Khan during his birth.

The Mongols took most facts on state management and organization from Turkish culture. Origin of the customs known as Genghis Khan’s laws is also Turkish origin. Also it is asserted by scientists that the concepts related to state management such as law, custom, nation, flag, etc. are transmitted from Turkish language to Mongol language. It is not a fortuity that Genghis Khan chosen Otuken, capital city of the Huns, Gokturks and Uyghurs, that is, holy land of the Turks as a state center. Genghis Khan adopted the advice “The Otuken forests is a place to be adopted as a motherland” bequeathed by Bilge Kahn to Turkish in the Orhon inscriptions.
